Hydroforming Components : Technologies

KLT have set-up manufacturing facilities for hydroforming components / aggregates for automotive application in the year 2006. The facilities include 5000 tonne capacity hydroforming press with pressure intensifier and other relevant auxiliary systems, procured from M/s Schuler Hydroforming, Germany who are the pioneer in Hydroforming technology and Hydroforming press & tooling. Further, KLT have also acquired CNC tube bending machine from M/s Chiyoda, Japan which is required for performing bending operation of tube prior to hydroforming operations.

KLT also intends to augment the manufacturing facilities by adding more and more hydroforming presses (for pre-forming as well as final forming) to meet the increasing demand from domestic / global market. KLT have incorporated robotic loading / unloading facilities on hydroforming press in order to improve productivity and safety aspects. The tubes required for hydroforming applications have also been developed by KLT and manufactured in parent tube plant of KLT which houses rolling facilities, annealing facilities and also testing facilities.

KLT personnel have received intensive training on manufacturing programme and tooling management from M/s Schuler Hydroforming, Germany.

KLT plans to cater to the needs of hydroforming components of domestic as well as global market.
